Dallas' revamped secondary will allow them to win more games this year, including this opener against the Giants.

I have Dallas here. Giants let go some of their key weapons on Offense that got them to Superbowl

I'd like to take the Cowboys here, mainly because I hate how Eli has 1 ring more than his brother. And because I think Joe Flacco is better than Eli but Eli's players make plays for him in the clutch. But either way, I think both Quarterbacks are better than Romo. Plus the Giants are playing at home.

Unless the Cowboys come up with a huge performance on defense, I don't see the Cowboys coming close.

    27-10, Giants.

I really don't think Morris Claiborn is going to bring much to the table for the Cowboys, in his interviews he just doesn't strike me as someone who is going to be able to pickup on the more complicated game that is pro ball. Not straight out of College; maybe in a few seasons.

So I think its going to me more of the same from last season for the Cowboys.

    23-10, Giants.

While I don't agree that he seems dumb from his interviews, I do agree that he isn't going to be a shut down corner or anything in his first year. At the very least Carr is better than Newman was last year so I think the defense will still be improved. Dallas wins 28-16

    Giants!
Is there any quarterback in the league more overrated than Romo. Can't even count playoff victories on 1 finger, while Eli has been Superbowl MVP twice.

Giants win this one, but not by much, it's the home opener and their defense is going to be on point.

The Cowboys secondary should be much improved with the loss of Terrence Newman. #41 has been an unmitigated fraud as an NFL safety for most of the last decade, without him a deep post might actually get defended(he was slow by, well, athletic standards) and someone might actually be able to challenge a runner head on. Most times Newman, inspite of his reputation as a hitter, would simply impede a runner toward the sideline instead of actually breaking down to make a tackle.
The Cowboys offense on the other hand still has several re-animated corpses playing offensive line positions. This has gone on much too long with the 'Boys. This season, Romo stands a real danger of becoming infected with their "living dead" virus and joining the un-dead as well.
Quality receivers or not, the Giants win this one because the Cowboys offense is helpless.

Wow... I didn't see this coming. They've still got 4 minutes left but here comes 4th down. Looks like 83% of Football Pickem players will be starting 0-1! Unless the G-Men get a miracle...
