I just watched an interview on ESPN with Rex Ryan and he seemed like a respectable head coach. Not only did he lose 100 lbs. He wasn't guaranteeing super bowls and he was not calling players out on national TV. He was very respectful and modest when talking about his team. He simply said that he thinks his players are great and that they are going to work hard this season to get wins. Rex did say he thinks he is the best coach in the league but he defended that comment by quoting Ali who said to be the best you have to believe you are the best. Which although it might sound arrogant it makes sense.

He also defended Tebow and the 2 QB system which I still don't think will work but Rex did bring a lot of different looks to Defense so maybe he has an idea for offense. I would say that typically I would just laugh at Rex Ryan for being boisterous and obnoxious and think the Jets would be terrible but now I kinda want to see how they play.

It will be interesting to see whether or not he can get the team winning this year.

Wow interesting?? I didn't see the interview but I'm gonna try and catch it and see if I agree. But I am game for anyone in that division to have a better team than the Patriots. If they sweep the Patriots I will be a Rex Ryan fan.

He has definitely been more modest this year than in the past. He seems like he learned he needed to tone it down. Ever since he left the Ravens I was happy he didn't stay as a head coach. He was a bit of a pompous @$$ and Harbaugh won games and did it with class. Ryan just seemed like a high school kid in a head coach position. It will be interesting to see if the Jets do better now that their coach has calmed down.

Rex might be a new man but he needs to get a hold on his team now, now that he isn't being so boisterous Cromartie is back to his old ways saying he is the 2nd best receiver on the team. Needless to say this didn't go over so well with the receivers and Rex hasn't had the opportunity to deal with it but he should. Luckily they play on different sides of the ball mostly so it shouldn't be too much of an issue.

yeah Cromartie is a moron. He is not Deon Sanders who was definitely one of the best CB's of all time and insane athlete. Sanders was a mediocre receiver at best and I just don't Cromartie being even able to approach that.

i don't know cromartie is pretty big he might be a good option as a receiver, he has good hands and does return kicks. if he actually catches the ball he would be scary after the catch

Granted the Jets only have four healthy receivers right now with everyone getting injured. Apparently 8 of their 12 WR's are injured mostly with hamstring issues. so Cromartie might be the 2nd best right now
